What's for breakfast?

I love breakfast. I could eat it all day long.

2nd breakfast? Sure

When we were growing up, we ate eggs almost everyday. 1 poached egg on 1 piece of toast.

with TEA. Always hot tea. Saturday was waffles or pancakes.

My father only had coffee in the morning. This seemed weird at the time, but not now. NOW, as a parent, I get it.

My husband's family ate oatmeal often for breakfast.

Milk, they drank tons of milk.

We live in the South now. Richmond, Virginia. Close to the beach.

Here we can mix dinner and breakfast foods. Biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles are a few of the combos that people put together. Seafood served in the morning seems strange to me, but I like change. New foods and flavors help keep us alive.

I am looking for new nourishing, healing recipes for our newest moms and dads. Textures and colors to wake us up! Old favorites that make everyone feel good.

Please share your favorites.
