Free Consultation

Contact Ramey Birth Doula Services to schedule a time to meet. You can "interview" our team and I will check to see if we are available for your "due date." A contract will be provided for you to read over and sign. All fees are discussed and payment arrangements are made that day. This can also be done online, if you wish.

We require a non- refundable deposit to hold your space in the calendar for your due date. We have a limit to the amount of clients we can take on per month. This is due, in part, to our 24/7 on call schedule and the unknown nature of baby's arrival.

Deluxe Birth Doula Package

All the listed services and a comprehensive Childbirth Education Class.

6 hours of private class time in your home or group classes of weekly 2 hour sessions for 4 weeks.

Standard Birth Doula Package

Includes 2 Prenatal Visits,

Birth Plan Preparation,

Labor/Birth Support, Immediate Postpartum

and 1 Follow-Up PP Visit.

Doula Light Package

For a mom that has already had babies and is

looking for a birth Doula but not the added education.

Postpartum (PP) packages can be ordered for daytime or overnight services. We offer a 50 hour contract, 100 hours or 250+ hours. Call to set this up!

Lending Library

From the time of signing contract and you pay your deposit (or the full amount), until after you deliver, I am available by phone and email.

You will also have access to my extensive Lending Library.

Full payment is required by 36 weeks. We will go "on call" from that point forward. You or your partner will need to talk to me personally on the phone when you think you are in labor. You must call!

Prenatal Visit

During these visits we will discuss your health history, your options for birth and comfort measures for labor.

I will come to you at home or a reasonable location agreed upon. Prenatal appts usually last one hour.

You can purchase more Prenatal visits at $50 a session.

As a Doula, I Do Not:

Perform any clinical tasks

Blood pressure monitoring, vaginal exams or "checks", fetal heart tones

or other labs are not in our scope and practice.

Make decisions for you

We provide you with the information and help you prepare for

your birth. We will assist you in making a birth plan. What works

for one family might not work for another. YOU decide what

is best.

Give Medical Advice

My experience is a valuable part of your package. We can

discuss common practices of the hospital of choice. You and

your partner will learn to find your voices so that you can speak for yourselves. I can suggest position changes, provide comfort measures and other options that might be helpful during labor. Medical decisions are left to you, your partner and the staff.

Postpartum follow-up visit

The next contact I make after your baby's birthday is within

48 hours. This is by phone or in person, at home or in

the hospital. We then schedule a follow-up visit in the next few days or weeks where I will come to your home.

This visit can last up to two hours or as needed.

I am available to you by text, phone, or email during the first six weeks after baby is born.

We will discuss your birth and address any problems you might be having. We will talk babies, breasfteeding, diapers, postpartum depression, rest, newborn care, and other topics you might be interested in.

Additional PP packages can be purchased for more time for mom. Various blocks of time are scheduled to help mom recover her strength and settle into her new role (again) as mother.
