Who is your Childhood Hero?

Childhood Hero

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:2

Often times we turn on the news and find out about famous people that have died. Carrie Fisher joins those that have passed in 2016. She was for me, a hero! Strong, rebellious, beautiful and someone I could look up to. As sad as I am about her death, I go on knowing that we all must die. An end is in the future for all of us. Our heroes are the ones we think about. We look up to them and often times, do what they are doing. Who doesn’t want to be like Wonder Woman, Princess Leia or Superman? As mothers, we have the chance to be our child’s FIRST hero. They will LOOK UP to you, want to be WITH you and want to be LIKE you. Use this time wisely! Pray over them and then teach them to pray, cuddle them while feeding, play make believe with them, hug them, dance around the room with them, fall to the floor in laughter together. Read to them stories from the books you love, sing the songs of your Mothers and Fathers, pass on traditions, explore galaxies far far away… ok, maybe a bit too far there, but you get the idea. Make your time on the EARTH matter. To your children, You are a HERO!
